ORIANA DIERINCKFLAUTIST RECITAL DEN HAAG UMAMIDonderdag 23 april speel ik samen met pianiste Lies Colman een recital in de kamermuziekserie van Podium Vocale in Den Haag .
Op het programma werk van Schumann, Debussy en Enescu .
Van dit concert wordt door de Stichting een DVD - opname gemaakt, naar alle waarschijnlijkheid zeer binnenkort hier te bekijken / beluisteren .
On thursday April 23rd i' ll be playing a recital with pianist Lies Colman .
This concert is part of the chamber music series ' Podium Vocale ' in the Hague .
We' ll be playing music by Schumann, Debussy and Enescu .
The Foundation is making a DVD - recording of this concert, probably this will be published here real soon .

In de eerste plaats waren ( zijn ) er de voorbereidingen voor het eerstvolgende concert op zondag 28 juni om 15:00 in de Noorse kerk te Antwerpen, met werk van Françaix, Escher, Vivaldi en De Falla .
Het is Z V E Z D O L I K I 's bedoeling in zijn programmatie steeds een combinatie te maken tussen bekende en minder bekende componisten en / of composities, dit bij voorkeur in minder gebruikelijk bezettingen .
These last few weeks i've been quite busy organising Z V E Z D O L I K I concerts .
First, there are the preparations for the next concert on sunday june 28th at 3 pm in the Norwegian church in Antwerp, with compositions of Françaix, Escher, Vivaldi and De Falla .
It is Z V E Z D O L I K I 's strong wish to make programs with combinations of well known and less known composers and / or compositions,
when possible in unusual instrument combinations .

Het bestaan van Z V E Z DO L I K I is blijkbaar een aantal concertorganisatoren niet ontgaan !
Cultureel Centrum Kortrijk ( afdeling Heule ) programmeerde afgelopen week Z V E Z D O L I K I in zijn serie ' kasteelconcerten 09-10 ' .
En dit in een wel héél bijzonder programma, met maar liefst twéé zelden uitgevoerde werken !
Zij kozen voor de combinatie fluit - viool - clavecimbel in werk van Biber, Murray-Schafer, Andriessen en Martinu .
Met dank aan Luc Brewaeys voor de tip ' Murray-Schafer ' ! ( meer hierover later ... )
The existence of Z V E Z D O L I K I has not been unnoticed by a number of concert organisations !
This week, C.C. Kortrijk ( dep. Heule ) booked Z V E Z D O L I K I for its chamber music series ' castle concerts 09-10 ' .
And this with a véry unusual program, with two at of four rarely performed pieces !
They have chosen the combination flute - violin - harpsichord with music by Biber, Murray-Schafer, Andriessen and Martinu .

Ik ben gevraagd om vanaf 09-10 deel uit te maken van het Erasmus Ensemble .
CVOriana Dierinck is born in Belgium and obtained the Governmental Medal for Flute and Chamber Music cum laude at the age of 17, and in the same year became laureat-finalist of the National Fedekam Competition for Young Soloists and won an audition for the Euregio Youth Orchestra.
She studied flute at the Brabant Conservatory (Tilburg, NL) with Raymond Delnoye (flute solo Brabant orchestra) and obtained the Bachelors Diploma in 1998. After that, she continued her studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Jo Hagen (flute solo Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra) and finished the Master (Performers) Degree in 2001. Oriana took part in masterclasses for flute with William Bennet and Gaby Pas-Van Riet and masterclasses for chamber music with Jan Gruithuyzen and Walter Boeykens. She has gained orchestral experience in the Euregio Youth Orchestra (1993-1994), the Youth & Music Orchestra Antwerp (1994-1998), and the Rotterdam Young Philharmonic (1998-2001) with conductors such as Arie Van Beek, Jurjen Hempel, Ernst Van Tiel, Roy Goodman and Hans Vonk. In 2001, she was selected by tape to take part in the masterclass of Philippe Pierlot at the Second Flute Convention of France in Paris. As a soloist she performed with the Oosterhout Symphony Orchestra (NL), the Youth & Music Orchestra of Antwerp (BE) and the Chamber Orchestra of the Brabant Conservatory (NL). Since 2002 she is teaching flute and ensemble at the Centre for the Arts ' Amadeus ' in Oudenbosch (NL). In september 2003 she established duo ' Umami ' , with conductor / pianist Ivo Venkov, with whom she is performing on chamber music podia in the Netherlands and Belgium. ' Umami ' regularly collaborates with Dutch and Flemish poets such as D. Hooijer, Kreek Daey Ouwens and Peter Ghyssaert. In 2006, ' Umami ' organised very successful workshops for young pupils and gave 5 performances of the poetic fairytale 'Opa Perenboom' in small theaters in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2007 . From 2006 onwards, Oriana has been selected as ' new talent ', and by this the concerts she gives with duo ' Umami ' are partially financed by the Flemish Government. She is founding member ( 2007 ) of ' Zvezdoliki ' which started performing in October 2008 . Since january 2009 Oriana also joined the Erasmus Ensemble . Oriana is working as a free-lance flutist in orchestras such as the Rotterdam Chamber Orchestra, the Antwerp Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Flemisch Philharmonic ( aka deFilharmonie ) and the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, and worked with conductors s.a. Daniele Callegari, Ivan Meylemans, Dirk Brossé, Massimo Quarta and Michaël Schönwandt . She participated in TV-recordings for Dutch Television NPS and radio broadcasts for KLARA . In june 2008 she was invited by the London Symphony Orchestra to take part in the second flute auditions . Oriana is primarily a female given name, widespread, even if not very common, in European languages. Its etymological origins are probably mixed. On the one hand there seems to be the Celtic Irish meaning of Blond or Golden, on the other hand there is the Latin meaning of Rising (as in Sunrise; see a similar word root in Orient).
There seems to be a connection between these two origins, given that the root Ori may be an Indo-European root referring to the rising or colour of the Sun.
Things get even more complicated as in the languages of the Iberian peninsula, namely Spanish and Portuguese, there is the medieval Oroana or Ouroana, from Oro or Ouro meaning Gold, whose origin is the Latin Aurum, and whose root, Aur, may be related to Ori.
Variants include Orianna, Oriane or Orianne.
Sometimes Orian or Dorian may be a male given name or a Family name, as in the case of Orian, Orians, Dorian or Doria.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT ANTWERP CATHEDRAL CHOIRi' ll be playing a christmas concert with the antwerp cathedral choir, conducted by sebastiaan van steenberge . on the program : english christmas carols ( 9 lessons & carols ) . the antwerp cathedral choir has a very long and rich tradition . even before the cathedral was finished in 1521, it knew a very well organised ' choral choir', of which the first tracks bring us back to 1362 . the choir in that time grew very quickly and attracted the attention of many famous musicians from that period : orlando di lasso, severin cornet and willem de fesch . the choir members were - and still are - formed and trained in the ' choraelhuys ' . MAGNIFICAT BACH BASILICA DEI FRARI VENETIEAfgelopen weekend een mini-concertreis gemaakt naar Venetië .
Doel was een uitvoering van Bachs Magnificat in de Basilica dei Frari met Vox Amicorum Koor en Orkest .
Vrijdag en zaterdag waren erg hectisch met repetities en concert, maar zondag kon er dan toch wat rondgekeken worden in deze onwaarschijnlijk boeiende en mooie stad .

Last weekend I've made a mini-concerttour to Venice .
The goal of this trip was a concert in the Basilica dei Frari with Bachs Magnificat with Vox Amicorum Choir and Orchestra .
Friday and Saturday were rather hectic due to rehearsal schemes and concert, but on Sunday there finally was some time to spend in this amazing city .

We waren die dag met zijn dertienen uitgenodigd (uit Rome, Munchen, Madrid, Berlijn ..) maar niemand van ons werd toegelaten tot de volgende ronde .
Unfortunately, no job with the LSO .
We were 13 invited that day (from Rome, Munchen, Berlin, Madrid .. ) but no one of us got admitted to the next round .
LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAI' ve been invited by the London Symphony Orchestra to take part in the second flute auditions .
Obviously, I'm very honoured ànd very happy about this !

Now, also thanks to Luc Famaey from the Royal Piet Staut Foundation, this plan can be made concrete !
